A Public Health Worker explores how social, cultural, political, and geographical conditions play a pivotal role in health and help thousands of patients recover to normal health status.

Public Health admission requirements for International Baccalaureate (IB) students
Program requirements

HL or SL English A, minimum 4, or HL English B, minimum 5. Mathematics: HL or SL Analysis and Approaches or HL Applications and Interpretations, minimum 4. Total 28.
General requirements
• In the Six total IB courses; at least three must be HL.
• Total scores exclude Diploma points. Subjects required for admission to specific programs should be HL whenever is possible.
• Where there are more than three subjects required for admission, SL courses will be accepted.
• For any programs requiring HL or SL English A, HL English B with a minimum of 5 will be accepted.

Summary Admission requirements

Ontario students must have at least: six Grade 12 U and/or M courses including
• Any 4U English (minimum final grade of 75% is required)
• At least any 4U Mathematics (minimum final grade of 70% is required)
Admission averages: Regular: Low 80s | Co-op: Mid-80s

How to Apply for Future Public Health students

There are two ways to become a Science Student to qualify for admission into the Public Health Program at the University of Waterloo.

• Visit https://idm.uwaterloo.ca/watiam/external/registration.jsf#/register
• Create an account in Quest to receive Username
• Follow link sent to email to create a password and also receive Student Number

How to Sign in to Waterloo Application Portal.

• Visit https://quest.pecs.uwaterloo.ca/psp/SS/ACADEMIC/SA/?cmd=login&languageCd=ENG&
• Enter your username followed by “@uwaterloo.ca.”
• Follow screen instructions to complete your Admission Information Form (AIF) (not available on mobile devices; please use the Quest Full Site)
• Upload transcripts and documents
• View entrance award offers
• Apply for the Entrance Bursary

How to upload Application Documents?

• Sign in to Quest.
• Select the Admissions tile.
• Under the Admissions section, you must select the Documents link for the program application you may want to view.
• Your Documents List is displayed. Select the Upload link to upload your document. Note: Applicants cannot upload references.
• Select Choose File to locate your document for upload. Select the Upload button to submit your document. Review the Sending Documents (undergraduate students) pages or Upload Your Documents (graduate students) page for more information on file requirements.
• Once a transcript has been successfully added to your file, the Date Last Received field will change. note After 24 hours, the upload button will reappear for you to upload additional transcripts there.
